Having recently finished my BS in Organizational Leadership I've been looking at several different tracks for a Masters. I've considered an MBA, MPA or a MS in Management. Recently I've seen a special promotion by Waldorf for a new MA in Organizational Leadership. Roughly about 10K for an RA masters with books included. Anyone have opinions on this school?

I'm not familiar with Waldorf College, but that's not a bad cost for an MA from a regionally accredited U.S. school, especially a for profit one.

:iagree: I'm with Steve on this one. It is the first time that I hear about Waldorf College, and the price is not that bad.

I have a workmate that is taking classes at Waldorf College, I do not remember what he is taking. But he did mention they are very good about getting the admission items completed and the instructors have been very good.

I think that Waldorf College is owned by Columbia Southern University.

Interestingly, he was looking into Daniel Webster College, an RA school, and that is owned by ITT Tech's parent company.

Apparently it's like Ashford University in that it was a religious-affiliated non-profit school that fell on hard times, so it sold out to a for-profit buyer rather than go out of business.

I appreciate the feedback. The promotion is basically 20% off the regular tuition price of $350 per credit hour which works out to $280 a credit hour. Books are supplied either through a book grant (you keep the books), or book loaner programs whereby the books are returned. Either way it's included in the cost of the tuition. They currently have three concentration areas, but hope to expand in the near future. All in all it appears to be a good value.

I've also strongly considered APU as their programs of study seemed to be cost effective.
After carefully comparing the two I decided to do the MA in Organizational Leadership at Waldorf. I'll update as time goes along with my progress and perceptions of the program.

This is the first I've heard of them but I like what I see. I am nowhere near the graduate level but I will definitely be putting these guys on the list for my BS/BA completion. Currently I am in the second semester with PF for Business and about 5 classes away from an AAS in Safety and helth with CSU. When considering this and looking at their online offerings, it fits perfect. I have been tossing around going with Psych or business or leadeship for my BS, but I love they have the blended degree offereings (BA Psychology in Occupational Safety and Health OR BS in Leadership in Occupational Safety and Health). I really, realy like what I see. And on top of all this, I would get a 10% tuition discount as I can use the CSU Learning partner agreement. Can't see where I could go wrong, lol.

If the school has a program that meets your needs and it does not break the bank, then by all means go for it.

The promotion I received had the caveat that I had to start in December. I'm about half way through the first class and am enjoying the course, content, and assignments. So far, so good.

I know they were purchased by CSU, does anyone have any experience with Waldorfs online courses?

I'm in my 2nd class of the MA in Organizational Leadership program at Waldorf College. The online classes so far are very good. Professors are attentive and have provided helpful feedback along the way. I'm enjoying it, and the cost is very reasonable. So far, it's been great.

Just an update: 4 classes done so far, and I am enjoying the classes, professors, and overall its an enjoyable experience. It's a significant amount of writing, but that is to be expected of a graduate program. Since I've started the program, more concentrations have been added. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a graduate program in OL.
