I am very close to earning my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration so I am thinking about pursuing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree afterwards. I am aware Capella University is for-profit but I am also aware it is regionally accredited. I am interested in the FlexPath program because it seems as though it can save me a lot of money. I was thinking of taking 6 or more courses per quarter- I am not sure though if this is allowed but I will call Capella and ask. Whenever I finish a course, I will immediately start a new course. It is about $2,200 per quarter. From my understanding, each quarter is 3 months long.

The courses are self-paced. I have enough money saved up and do not plan to work so I am confident about dedicating enough time towards doing the course work.

Does anyone who has taken online graduate business courses at Capella have any advice or experiences they would like to share? I would greatly appreciate it. I have a high grade point average and have never failed or withdrawn from courses. Thank you so much for your input. I have a lot of confidence but at the same time, I am skeptical about Capella to some extent.

Why Capella University? Don't get me wrong, Capella is a nice school, however, online MBA programs are a dime a dozen. There are far far better alternatives than Capella. I would start by checking the MBA sticky, then check www.geteducated.com. Get educated lists MBA's by price, regional and pragmatic accreditation.

Since you have mention that you want to take 6 courses per quarter. I do not know what is your life situation is, but 6 courses for graduate school that is double than full-time student. Unless you do not have a family obigation and job at the moment. Then it is do able; however, I would not recommend that route since your in short period you just cram everything into your head. In the long run you do not learn anything. I was at Capella University for the Ph.D in Organizational Management then to IT Management. I could not handle 3 courses because in a short period of time requires lot of reading and writing. In fact, these courses were taken through the School of Business and Technology. So, I assume the structure, materials, and requirements are not any differences.

Since you want a cheap route of MBA program, I would recommend you to choose AACSB school at GetEducated.com | Review, Rate, Rank & Compare Online Colleges & Degrees. There are plently of schools cheaper than Capella Flexpath.

Sounds expensive, there are better options for less money. Does Capella hold any extra accreditation or are they just regionally accredited? There are folks that have finished the MBA at WGU in less than a year for about $6500 total.

If you're just looking at $$, there are certainly cheaper programs but most will take longer. For a self-paced, competency-based MBA you're pretty much looking at Capella, Patten and WGU.
