    Dear all,

I'm thinking of moving to the States, and I believe that a US degree would definitely be an advantage for my job hunting and career. Just wonder if there's any RA uni/college where I can complete my master in business/mba asap via distance learning/online, and I'd be able to gain some credit via credit transfer please?

    Here is my background:

Business Degree and Postgraduate Cert in Accounting from University of the West of England, UK
MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK

    Thanks a lot.

    Ben

Your British degrees will be accepted in the USA by most employers with little or no question in my opinion.

If you want to obtain a US degree I suggest you look for one that centers around your previous experience.
    Examples:
If in manufacturing or service industries I've found the MSQA from CSUDH is a usefull degree.
If in accounting find a masters degree that will lead to professional recognition (others on here can provide you that info).

I mean if the degree can lead to a professional recognition, it'd be a great idea!

Most, if not all, states require individuals practicing certain professions to have appropriate state licenses. For example professions include accountants, professional engineers, and lawyers.

Since you already have a MBA and a post graduate certificate in Accounting, I don't see the point of getting another degree unless you are planning to get an MBA from an top school like Harvard or Stanford.
I would suggest getting an American CPA, CMA or GCMA. CPA US has an agreement with CIMA UK, one alternative would be to transfer your UK credits to CIMA and finish a qualification with them, if you are CIMA qualified you can become CGMA qualified in the US. Another alternative is to write the CA UK qualification, a UK CA designation can be converted to an American CPA with only few exams.

Most good finance and accounting jobs in the US require a CPA or CFA, there is no point of getting a second masters.

The MBA by itself could be enough to get a job in the US but if you are aiming for a top job, the CPA or CFA is a better bet and cheaper to get than a second masters.

Same here, a CPA or CFA should be enough! No use in undertaking an other Master degree in my opinion.
