I can never tell whats real with overseas schools in developing countries. If this is real then it looks like a pretty good deal with tuition, I think if I am reading it right, of $30 a credit hour if you have a 4 year US degree.

They seem to have current job postings but the pictures to all the meetings go nowhere..

If you read the fine print, it seems to be for Pakistanis only - those resident in Pakistan plus "Pakistanis in several other countries in the region." It's a "real" school all right - HEC (Higher Education Commission - Pakistan) approved as it says - I checked. Just maybe not designed for students of other nationalities.

Who knows? They might find out just how much money they can make from students elsewhere -- and post a rate schedule for foreigners. I don't know of a school that can match the posted tuition rate of VUoP, but I am in debt to msganti, our knowledgeable poster on Indian education, for this excellent school. It's fully Indian-accredited, UGC and AICTE and the cost is about $2,200 for a Master's degree - to those outside India. Cheaper of course for Indian Nationals.

I can't see exactly where it says you have to, but it seems all the students are - or are Pakistanis living outside the country.

"The University opened its virtual doors in 2002 and in a short span of time its outreach has reached over sixty cities of the country with more than a hundred associated institutions providing infrastructure support to the students. Pakistani students residing overseas in several other countries of the region are also enrolled in the University's programs." (Emphasis mine - Johann)

Besides, all their (many) satellite campuses are in Pakistan. Lectures are mostly on a schedule- via Pakistani satellite TV, although you can get them on CD for a bit extra. There is an Internet component, that may be for enhancement and reference, if I read it right. The qualifications required to enter are all given in domestic terms - e.g. 14 year programs, 2-year Bachelor's degrees etc.

I'm guessing from all that - they're not really geared to non-nationals. I'm not saying don't apply -- if you think the degree will get you where you want. The worst that can happen is they'll say "no," and I rather think, from their site, that they would.

One caveat: It seems to me that degrees from Pakistan often don't serve as well as Indian ones, over here. The two systems of higher ed. seem to be quite different. I have personally known people whose degrees earned in Pakistan were not accepted here (Canada.) Indian degrees seem to fare better, overall...but what do I know?

I think that's true. A colleague had a Bachelor's and a Master's from Pakistani universities, and together they were evaluated as the equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in the West. Apparently they each took two years to earn, though, so that would track.
