The answer is no, half of schools in your list is accredited by national accredited agencies. Since nationally accredited degree maybe be illegal to use in other countries. Here are the list of affordable on MBA.

Unrecognized for qualifying for further study, maybe, but I'm not sure about "illegal to use"....

Agreed. No way a degree would be illegal if the issuing school is accredited by an agency that is recognized by CHEA and USDoE.

How can it be an illegal degree if the issuing school is recognized by CHEA? Careful there, unless you know for sure that a degree from ABC College is illegal to use in XYZ country; is best not to assume. You do know what happens when you assume right?

All of these universities offer legal and accredited degrees. College accreditation in the US is funky to say the least. What is the definition of cheap? Cheap to me might not be cheap to you and so forth. Give us a figure and you will then get better recommendations. In the meantime read these two links:

    Regional Accreditation.

    US higher education accreditation.

hahaha! Maybe I used the wrong term as "illegal"; however, I said MAYBE.

I like your "maybe" defense. I wonder if I could use it to argue a court case?

    To the Original Poster:

You "may be" able to complete a regionally accredited MBA in six months at Western Governors University. That would come out to approximately $3,000 in U.S. currency. Please note that the WGU programs are geared more towards experienced professionals. If you're less experienced, you might want to attend a bigger brand name school.

Any other option apart from WGU at around 4000 - 5000 US$ ?

Online degrees don't seem to be illegal -- just unacceptable, at least according to this source:

"Note: At this time, the UAE does not accept online/distance education degrees for use in the country."

From here: Frequently Asked Questions - Abu Dhabi & Dubai, UAE

Has this changed? Maybe the OP knows something we don't?

The Burlington NJ school is accredited by DETC - although its MBA courses are out of Loveland CO. I think that (Loveland CO) may be the original location (1923). From their site: "The Institute of Logistical Management is approved for accreditation by The Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council." Institute of Logistical Management I checked - the Burlington NJ location is listed.

The subsite seems to have been taken down now, found this on the main accreditation page: The Institute of Logistical Management has received Provisional Authorization by the State of Colorado, Department of Higher Education, Colorado Commission on Higher Education, as a Private Degree Granting Institution.

    Directory Of Accredited Institutions

From the DETC site - about ILM's accreditation:

    Institute of Logistical Management

Courses in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, and eight separate Practitioner and Certification tracks, including the Certified Logistics Practitioner Program.

    Subjects:
Certified Logistics Practitioner Import-Export Information Technology
Inventory Management Logistics Motor Carrier Operations
    Supply Chain Transportation Warehousing
Freight Claims Global Logistics Hazardous Materials
Business Logistics Management Transportation and Logistics Law

I just don't see where it's DETC accredited to offer an MBA -- or any mention of the Loveland CO location.

Looks to me like: Degree programs are (provisionally) State Licensed (Colorado) and unaccredited. Certificate programs (NJ) are DETC accredited. Am I wrong?

Colorado seems to be a growing state for State-licensed schools. I'm guessing that's because it has a reasonably doable licensing process in place. there are a growing number of such schools - I'm making no judgments on quality, etc.

It can be "illegal" anywhere outside the US if a foreign government declares its use to be illegal on their turf. Illegal there - not here. I'm not saying that the degrees under discussion (NA degrees) are illegal in UAE. I've seen no evidence. I have seen (and quoted) evidence they may be unacceptable, though. That's OK. People generally tolerate rejection better than imprisonment.

    From the ILM site:

"We are very pleased to announce that we have established an articulation agreement with Abraham Lincoln University (ALU), a prominent nationally accredited university, to accept ILM courses in transfer into associate and bachelor’s degree programs in business administration."

So, you can get course credit towards an undergrad degree at Abraham Lincoln U. (DETC). Still no evidence (at least to me) that the degrees of ILM are anything other than (Colorado) State-Licensed - i.e. unaccredited.

Okay the site seems to be back. In all fairness the top has a big disclaimer on it that says "this website is in beta and the information on it is not official" and the bottom says launching February 24, 2014.. I found a link to it from a search I did on Bing..

Judge: "Did you indicate or imply on your website that your school was accredited to offer MBAs -- when it was actually not?
School Director: "Well, uh, yes, Your Honor, we may have, inadvertently -- but our website was in beta..."
