Capella used to offer a PHD in E-Commerce years ago, but that has been long since abolished. Then NCU began offering a PHD/DBA in E-Commerce, but that seems to have been recently abolished. Does anyone know of any other schools offering an e-commerce doctorate?

Most E-commerce graduates degrees have been phased out, some studies show (don't have the links) that graduates from these program did not benefit from them from the salary or skills perspective.
The main logic is that most of these programs teach skills that can be easily be found over the internet (e.g. search engine optimization) and do not require a graduate degree. Employers in general were not able to see much benefit from hiring PhDs or MS in E-Commerce as people with high school diplomas and the right experience can perform as well.

All I can tell you is that the at 3 schools that I teach, the programs were phased out.

The only option is to do a PhD or DBA in IS or ITM and concentrate in E-commerce.

I was thinking of an old thread which mentioned an Aussie e-commerce doc. I did a word search for "E-Commerce," waded through 17 pages of threads before finding a thread that looks kind of familiar (though I thought that I had participated in said thread). The thread I found is "PhD in E-Commerce info please" (2002) - which I gave a bumpity to so I can find it again if need be - and it mentioned that the University of South Queensland's DBA in Information Systems has an E-Commerce component.

USQ phased out their specializations for the DBA, the reason is that they offer now the PhD in DL format too that is more specialized.

USQ used to have the E-commerce specialization but it was dropped long time ago.

I don't know if it is possible to get a PhD now with the e-Commerce title but it looks that it is easier to find an IS or ITM doctorate.

The trend now is "IS Security doctorates", you might want to take a look at one of those and specialize in E-commerce security.

To be quite honest, most of these IT related doctorates are not so useful in industry.

Most people that I know with an IS or ITM doctorates are not even capable of developing a small web page.
