I've attended a four year University in Pennsylvania the past few years, and due to recent events I had to move back home.

I have 94 earned credit hours, majoring in HR Management. Since I will be living at home and working, I am looking to finish my degree through an online university. I was fairly close to finishing my degree at the university I was previously attending.

So my main question is, if I try to transfer my credits to an online university how many classes should I be expecting to take and how long should I expect to earn my degree online?

Most of the Colleges and Universities take up to 90 credits out 120 credit undergraduate program. However, you might lose some credits if those credits do not meet prospective institutional program curriculum. In the past the Big Three (TESC, COSC, Excelsior College) takes all credits for the program; but recently I believe to take at least 2 classes and a capstone.

Since you had finished that many credits from the university in Pennsylvania. Have you spoken with your dean to negotiate by taking credits somewhere else to transfer to your school in Pennsylvania to complete your degree? Some school gives that options to student, it does not hurt to ask.

I know Troy University takes up to 90 credits in transfer, which 60 Lower Division and 30 Upper Division. Troy University also offers degree in Human Resources. For example, Regis University offers Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management at $435 per credit. According to the school's website tuition program costs from 30 credit to 128 credits. I assume that you have to earn minimum 30 credits from them in order to obtain your degree from Regis University.

Make sure to check to see if the university that you were attending has any online programs because it might be easier to finish up there. So many colleges and universities now offer fully online or partly online programs.

The problem being, I withdrew from the university last semester but not before the total university withdrawal date. I basically had to pack everything up and leave, not being able to complete the semester. That being the case I have been suspended from the university and will not be able to return for a year. Rather than waiting a year to go back and finish school I am looking to finish as soon as possible, preferably online.
