what is the best value for money UK based MBA? I have Edinburgh (Heriot-Watt) at £9,000 and Leicester at £11,000. Anyone know others that are £11,000 or less?
University of London (SOAS - Centre for Financial & Management Studies): MBA Banking £7,960 Banking (MBA and Postgraduate Diploma) | University of London International Programmes
This is not UK, but geographically close - it's across the Irish Sea. Half the price or less - 5,750 Euros, which is 4,618 pounds or $7,201 US. Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown, here. Institute of Technology Blanchardstown :: Study at ITB :: Business Another reader, Woho, suggested this school for a different program, here: http://www.degreeinfo.com/business-mba-degrees/41841-mba-business-intelligence-preferably-online.html It's 100% legit per Irish regulations, but I know nothing further. Worth a look? Johann
If you plan to use the degree in the USA then I'd suggest that you just choose the cheapest program available because virtually no one actually knows the hierarchy of British universities here in the USA.
I may have to go to the US for a few years. Would the accreditation make any difference to a US employer. I see that the edinburgh business school has only Royal Charter accreditation but no AMBA, EQUIS, nor AACSB. Would that make a difference in the Uk or the US?
Sorry - you're right. The other Blanchardstown Master's program (Business Intelligence) was available by distance, but one had to read the fine print at the bottom of the "part-time" section to find that out. I mistakenly assumed that this degree program was available in the same format, but guess what -- no fine print! Again, my apologies. Perhaps another Irish school of the same type (Institute of Technology) might offer a distance MBA at around the same cost -- worth a Google search , maybe... Johann
This page (256 MBAs - all distance AFAIK) might suggest some possibilities: http://www.masterstudies.com/MBA/Online/ Johann
I mentioned this already few times but the cheapest way to obtain a british MBA is though a top up MBA. This means that you can complete a graduate diploma by examination with ABE or other similar associations and then top it up with a MBA. The total cost would be lower that £5,000 University of Northampton has a top up MBA. The University of Northampton Homepage - Telephone: 01604 735500
Yes, this is a good option. There are a few British business qualifications from professional Institutes/examining boards similar to the ABE's that could offer this route as well. Worth a google search.
