Looking for some advice from the experienced members around here.

My employer is encouraging me to get an MBA as there are going to be senior management openings in the next 3-5 years in-house. I have about 4 years exp as assist management (mostly through dumb luck), but I don't have a business education. Is an MBA what I should be pursuing? It seems like all the curriculum I'm looking at is way above my head. But I'd rather not start at the beginning or get another BA/BS. (I have a double BA in Fine Art/Comparative Religions from a good Cal State school, 3.8 GPA)

On a separate note, I've been exclusively looking at online schools as 1) I have a young family that takes priority and I can't relocate (southern california) and 2) my employer is offering flexibility for studying and to pay some tuition costs. On the downside, my budget is $60K MAX and I'd like to avoid any long residencies if possible.

List so far: Arizona State, Florida State, UMass Isenberg, Oklahoma State, Washington State. Are these programs do-able (assuming I'm accepted) with my non-business background? Also, got 590 on GMAT, but planning on taking again as all my pre-tests were in the 650 range.

Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you!
