With this post, I'm hoping I can find some advice for my education search from some of the experienced members around here.

Employer has been encouraging me to get an MBA as potential growth options in my company are becoming available in the next 3-5 years. But is an MBA really what I need, if I want just a general management education with some insurance in case a future job search is necessary (not planning on consulting or complicated financial work)? Most of the curriculum I see online seems more advanced than my knowledge base, but I don't want to start at the beginning / get another BA. Maybe a biz cert first?

Online is ideal as I can't relocate and I have a young family that takes priority, but employer is allowing flexibility during work hours for studying, etc. Trying to stick to AACSB and reputable schools without spending $100K or too much residency time. My current app list now is Arizona State, Florida State, UMass Amherst, Washington State, Oklahoma State. Would love to hear some opinions. (I've heard good things about the UMass program here, plus I'm West Coast so Pac12 name recognition helps)

    My details (age 29):
-Double BA in Fine Art / Comparative Religions, 3.8 GPA Undergrad.
-(through dumb luck mostly) 4+ years in a junior management type role, but would like to own my own business ideally.
-590 on 1st GMAT, want to take again because my pre-tests were all around 650.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

You might want to check out the University of Memphis and Ole Miss.
