I am living in Indonesia, and am an experienced accounting professional wanting to do an MBA in my fifties, partly because I have always wanted to, but also to help broaden my career.

I have looked at many UK institutions but so far I am attracted to EBS by the great flexibility and I look the look of the materials from what I have seen - moreover the rates are excellent - with discounts if you are resident in Indonesia.

I would welcome any honest feedback regarding EBS, and how it compares to other Schools, and any recommended alternatives..

    Thanks in advance

Heriot-Watt is a recognized UK university. You will earn the same MBA as on-campus students earn. School rankings and the like are available with little effort. The degree is hard to earn (the exams are difficult but fair by most accounts).

Since I get questioned about it all the time now, I set up an FAQ at Edinburgh Business School MBA program FAQ - Drannbauer.com . You may also want to check out the unofficial EBS student site, the "Watercooler" at EBS Watercooler . There may be some Indonesian students there you can talk to.

I know of colleagues who took this program. They found the examinations tough, but the course is flexible as it is modular based. You may take as many or as few examinations as you wish.
