    Hello to everyone,

I am a BBA and MBA graduate and I am searching a fast track program from a well known university (such as Harvard, LBS, LSE, NYU etc) to boost my CV.

The duration of studies should be from 3 days to 1 month (the maximum) by distance learning.

Could anyone post me some sites to search for?

    Thank you in advance.

I have found that joining and participating in a career associated professional body does much for a resume/CV.

UF has one that is healthcare related and Cornell has an online executive program. You may want to check them out.

There are numerous professional bodies that can enhance your career that could include those applicable to a wide range of businesses such as the AMA or those that match the primary business of your employer/clients (in my case aerospace and quality).

There is an article on professional associations starting on page 16 of the Fall/Winter 2007 edition of Live&Learn and that contains links to pro body compilations.

E-cornell certificates are good resume boosters

I personally think that is more impressive to publish at a recognized journal or conference.

While I do agree, the issue is (for me anyway) that it is easier to take a class/course with “some structure” because the idea of writing a journal article in your spare time when no one is holding a gun to your head or there is not money on the table (tuition) is almost unbearable. I started a few times and just can not find the discipline to do it.

This is the issue for most people. The easiest thing to do is just take an online course and then complete an online multiple choice exam.

I completed several certificates from big names like Stanford and Rutgers but this did not much for my resume.

Most people get impressed by accomplishments rather than online certificates.

Publications are accomplishments as you show that you are able to complete a full research project and show results.

To be quite honest, it was really hard for me at the beginning too. My doctoral supervisor pushed me to get at least two publications (one journal and one conference) before graduation. I got many rejections before I got my first publication.
After the first two publications, then rest came easy as you start developing the a skill.

Can you send us some links of your publications?

E-cornell is a very good boost for CV but I think is very expensive.

I am searching something cheaper and quicker.

University of Notre Dame: Executive Certificate in Negotiation, an Executive Certificate in Leadership and Management, or an Executive Certificate in Business Administration, or an Executive Certificate in Transformational Nonprofit Leadership ($5,995).

“The total estimated completion time for each certificate program is approximately 25-30 hours, including up to 12 hours of streaming video presentation plus independent exercises and mastery exams.”

Thank you for your interest and your info.

Unfortunately, I am searching for a program ftom a more well-known, well-established university with global recognition.

I found a very good program (Stanford Innovation and Entrepreneurship) but it costs an arm and a leg.

    Stanford Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate

Do you have any other proposals?

    Deleted. Sorry.

I was saying (wrongly) that the Stanford cert. was only $995 - but that's per course, for 8 courses. Calvin is right -- it's almost as costly as some MBA programs at other schools.

Looks like getting a cert. from a prestigious school is kind of like your forum-name, Calvin Klein.

You have to pay a lot, just for the label.

Agreed. If you want a credential from a top-tier school you're going to have to spend both time and money to get it. Those brands have value in the market and you're going to pay to be attached to them. Simple as that.

    Thank you for your views.

I want to finish a top-tier university course in order to be eligible for alumni membership.

By this way I can find valuable business partners.

    Any idea of this?
