MBA in Finance? Can anyone recommend an online MBA in Finance that is (1) under $40K, (2) RA and AACSB would be even better, and (3) tied to a B&M? My initial thoughts were UL-Monroe, Jackson State, and CSU-DH but they are not all AACSB and I do not think any have a finance concentration.
I wasn't able to find tuition costs (I didn't dig too deeply), but East Carolina University offers an online MBA with a concentration in Finance....RA, AACSB, and definite B&M presence; Results Page
I just started such a program on Thursday. It is from the University of Tennessee (at Martin). It is an MBA in Banking and Financial Services. It is AACSB accredited. I think the tuition is about $16k-$17k. The program is 20 months in length no residencies are required. I just started so I can't speak from experience yet. However, I have been told that the instructors and students are interactive via BB, video conferencing, etc. Now for the bad news. It is a cohort-based program which starts every January. Also, the cohort is only 20 people and is selective. However, if someone wanted to start next January, it would be advisable to complete the application process immediately to increase chances (as they do rolling admissions). I chose the UT program because: 1) It is a well known state university system 2) It is AACSB accredited 3) It is extremely cheap relative to other AACSB schools 4) It can be completed in 20 months 5) It can be completed online or in residence.
