Hi all, I need some help. I have a strong gravitation to do a MS-Economic Development and Entrepreneurship (at University of Houston - Victoria). I love the small business component of it and it is AASCB accredited. I do not gravitate towards an MBA due to the load of pre-reqs needed that counts towards no credit. Now, for my immediate career needs, I need to get some Project Management education and not not want to just cram for a PMP. Instead I would like to do something like a Graduate Certificate in Project Management. This will take me about 1 year, before I can get going with my masters. I alm looking the best of both worlds... a graduate degree that blends project management and entrepreneurship. I am open to RA, but will prefer AASCB. Any sugestions?
Input? Still no input? Hope to hear from oneone. Can not believe I am the only one wanting this funky combination
How about Villanova? Professional Education Online | Distance Learning certificate AACSB with a good online program and PMP certificate - both well-respected. I'm not sure if the certificate classes will count towards the MBA but it's a good question to ask them. At least you would only have one school transcript to order. Or Colorado State? AACSB and online Project Mangement and online MBA CSU Online Plus - Project Management | Classroom Certificate | Denver & Loveland - Colorado State University Here's a good tool: Business School Comparison - BusinessWeek
Villanova has two AACSB accreditations, for business and accounting. I don't think AACSB accreditation is available for other types of degree or certificate programs.
Right. The PMP certification is often housed in the department/school that offers IT degrees, which is often not part of the business school. Nonetheless, Villanova does meet the criteria as an AACSB school that offers a PMP certificate, both online.
