    Hi,

I am gathering information on good on-line or blended MBA program. Cost less than or around 50K is a factor. I short listed similar to most of the people in this forum

    1. IE business school
    2. University of Florida
    3. Kelly direct
    3. UMass Amherst
    4. Penn World

Many people are talking good about UMass Amherst. They have blended MBA program. But what I found, similar to Penn World; UMass online is open for the world. No residencies. Anyone from any corner of the world can get these degrees without any residencies.

Does this matter substantially? How do they control the reputation of their degrees?
Do they really control quality/authenticity of students enrolling into on-line from oversees? Or these are more of money generating programs.

Is it safe to skip 100% on-line degrees?

    Appreciate your thoughts.

    Thank you.

I think if you have a choice to do MBA full-time, i would suggest you do so. Avoid DETC and online-only schools.
IE Business school is best among the list you have. Next would be University of Florida.
With Online school you will not interact with any students and prosessors. I do not remember a classmate from Texas A&M. Professor interaction is limited to online live class session and nothing more than that. A lot of school do not have online live classes. Most of them are self-learing and assignment only degree programs. Its your choice. A good education(onsite/face-to-face) or mediocre education(Online only).

My advice is to go to the school closest to where you actually live and work that provides a fully online experience but gives you the option to involve yourself with the college community if you choose to.

I've graduated UMass Amherst's online program. As a 80% online student I still made connections by attending social events coordinated by the students and alumni.

If you live in California and have never lived in Massachusetts, don't go to UMass. There are tons of options out there. Most neglect to put "online" on their diplomas.
