I'm considering an online MBA with Texas A&M-Commerce. My only concern is that employers will frown upon the degree because it's not the traditional brick-and-mortar masters degree.

What are the views of employers when it comes to online MBAs? I would understand frowning upon an online medical degree or any online degree that requires lab work, but I think business degrees would be different?

TAMUC is a Regionally accredited and AACSB accredited. Nobody should have any questions on your degree. You will have a Gold standard degree. Also dont forget TAMUC is part of Texas A&M system. That adds much more value. GO ahead with the program without thinking twice.

I have a similar concern in my situation. I am an MBA-Accounting student at AMU, an online RA for profit college. The education quality is good and AMU is one of the better for profit colleges out there. However, I plan on teaching accounting classes part time. AACSB seems essential to be able to teach business classes at AACSB colleges.

In your case, Texas A&M Commerce seems to be a public school, non-profit, Regionally Accredited and AACSB accredited. Many good schools offer online MBAs these days. I would not worry at all about getting an online MBA from Texas A&M Commerce.

Whether you take your courses online or in the classroom, your degree will say "Texas A&M University-Commerce" and it will carry the full backing of The Texas A&M University System. I graduate from the program in December, and have enjoyed excellent working relationships with both my professors and fellow students from throughout the U.S. and the world. If anything, the online program at A&M-Commerce requires more from you than a traditional format because you are required to participate in online discussions, rather than having an option to sit in the back of class and stay quiet. As with a traditional format, in an online classroom you still enjoy class discussions with other students who are current business professionals, advice and support from professors with decades of experience in their fields and relevant info that you can put to use the next day at work. I have friends who have attended both public and private, online and traditional M.B.A. programs, and I would say my degree from A&M-Commerce will prove to be just as valuable.
