    Hey there,

I just have to say that this forum makes me want to keep going :headbang: . I just finished my comp exam on Aug. 8 for my MBA, haven't gotten the results back yet, but already looking at PHD and Grad Cert programs. My mind is telling me to take a break, maybe work part time using my degree or find a new job all together. The other part of me has this addiction to learning and education. Looking at a few Grad certs and PHD programs related to Workforce Development/Adult Learning and Training. I have recently found out I have more of a passion for developing people through curriculum design and delivery (Because of my teaching and coaching background) than sales and marketing. Although I enjoyed learning about it, I'd rather teach other people how to do it, than do it myself. I did enjoy Grad school experience and learned a lot in the MBA program and short internship, and now feel like I should leverage the MBA with my 13 years of public education experience. Maybe an ASTD Certificate would be more helpful for the time being. They are 3 day certification workshops for people new and experienced in corporate training.

What to do, what to do..........:scratchchin:

Thanks for the info provided on these forums. There is so much discover here!

You can exercise your addiction to learning without enrolling in a formal degree/cert program. I think there's another factor at play.

I see your point. There are a few things I have been thinking about. Maybe turn my attention to learning a new language, guitar, and possibly getting back into Jiu Jitsu.

In the meantime, I am attending ASTD (training and Development organization) workshop this week, and an American Marketing Association meeting as well. Both are local chapters. I have an opportunity to meet and network with a variety of people. Look forward to it.

I totally understand your attitude Diesel. I am half way done with my MBA and am trying to plan for the PhD next. I just received my BSBA in June and am currently working on a second at TESC.
Some of us just like to move quickly and plan the next step.

I am a MBA-Accounting student at AMU. What Phd programs are you looking into? What kind of DBA programs could you get into with an MBA from AMU? Any idea of good ACBSP schools with DBA programs?

Northcentral looks great. Lot's of options in the PHD and Doctorates in Business and noticed that people have been talking about their tuition reduction. The program looks tailor-made for an AMU MBA grad since the accreditations match up (HLC and ACBSP). I like their PHD in Business with a concentration in Organizational/Industrial Psychology.

Unfortunately the PhD tuition is still sky high at $2200 per credit. If you get enough reimbursement at work its fine but its really hard to swallow otherwise.
After I finish my MBA, maybe they will drop the PhD tuition to $1400! That would rock.
