    Hello all,

I am trying to find a certificate in management or marketing that can be completed using transfer credits and CLEP/DSSTs. I would like to take some exams and courses in Management and Marketing, but they probably will not fit into my degree. Instead of having loose credits, I would like to put the credits into a certificate. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks,
    LaceyLady

This is true, they will have residency requirements, regardless of how many credits the cert curtails.

Thank you both for the information. I have been looking for certificate programs that fit my needs and this is what I have found:

The only school I have come across that allows 100% of the credits for a certificate to be transferred in is TESC. They have certificates in Human Resource Management, Operations Management, and Marketing (as well as others). Each certificate is 18 credits. I would prefer a certificate in Management instead of a specific part of management because some of my credits would not be able to fit in either HRM or OM. But those are the only certificates I could find that allow 100% transfer. Thomas Edison State College | Undergraduate Certificates

Columbia College has certificates in Management, HRM, and Marketing Management. They are 18 credits each. They allow up to half of the credits to be transferred in. Columbia College: Adult education, distance learning and traditional education at more than 30 campuses across the country

I found another option for certificates. Upper Iowa University has certificates in Human Resource Management and Marketing. They are 15 credits each, 9 of which can be transferred in. Six credits or two courses have to be taken at Upper Iowa.

Again, it is not exactly what I am looking for and a number of my credits would not apply, but it is another option. Only having to take two courses with them is an advantage.

If anyone knows of other business certificates that accept transfer credits, please let me know.

    Thanks
