Hi all, Aspen was to offer 2 new Doctorates DBA & DSc Computer Science in 2011, they were listed on their website, but now DBA is gone, any clue? Will DSc Computer Science also disappear ? jaiho
Interesting...maybe because their curriculum looked exactly like Columbia Southern's (course titles the same word for word except for the dissertation courses)?
hmmm interesting notion, however there were some errors, look at the 2011 Catalog: http://info.aspen.edu/docs/2011catalog.pdf Page 48 (DBA program) lists RSH999 as 3 credits while the DSCS program has been updated on the web to state that RSH999 as 1.5 credits (note the PDF catalog isn't the same the Website for that program either) I would suggest you contact the school to see the status, but given the inconsistencies I would suggest they might be fixing things?
This is totally strange. I just chatted online with the Aspen admissions representative few days ago. I was told that the DBA program will be offered in the Fall of 2011.
That's weird. I would probably (maybe contemplate) an affordable DBA. I think I am done for now though. Abner
Abner, I am curious....nothing is against you. Do you like to stay with NA schools only? And how have these degrees serving you? Thanks.
My NA degrees have worked out very well for me. I obained my first RA degree (AA) back when when it was $10.00 a credit at my local CC. I attended a CC for ten years believe it or not, and I took every possible class I could. Best education I could have received. Later, I went to UOI, but they kept raising their tuition every year until it was out of control. Later, the minute CCU received DETC accreditation, I was able to wrap up 32 units I needed for $70.00 a credit. Then, I received my DETC accredited MBA degree for $4,200.00! No debt, and I have the credentials in hand. These degrees have gained me a promotion, and I do contract work (the intitials MBA after my name help a lot) which adds quite a bit of extra income to my annual salary. So in short, the NA RA issue means nothing to me. Abner P.S. I paid for every dime of my education, no employer reimbursement. To pay for classes, I unloaded trailers that were 130 degrees durring the summer, I worded as a bouncer at night, and did whatever I had to do to work my through school. I finally landed an insurance job then work my way up from there before moving on to State work. Let's just say it was a long, hard roady, but I am enjoying the fruits of my labor. It's kind of surreal for me sometimes. I roll around in my late model MBZ with all the options and custom rims, and I have to pinch myself.
I doubt it. Though I think about it sometimes. You never know, when you are a DL addict, DL has a way of dragging you back in just when you think you are out! Abner
