The Theological Research Exchange Network (TREN) is an organization similar to UMI, but specializing in theological dissertations and theses. Most of the dissertations/theses are from regionally accredited, ATS or TRACS schools, however, TREN also has dissertations from a few unaccredited schools.

On the main web page, go to "search and order," then to "school" for a list of available schools.

Good news. The one and only thing on which I'm a Darwinist is dissertation availability. I understand the arguments for UMI-Proquest's standards, but a free market of ideas is better served by broader availability. If something's actually good, it's good; if crud, crud. Let the buyer beware if it's from an unaccredited school, but let the wary buyer read and decide.
