    Quote from atricle:

"There are many false qualifications floating around because they are so easy to obtain. The problem with these fake degrees is that they are often accepted as real because of the flood of 'real' but worthless MBAs and degrees on the market."

Education Minister Professor Kader Asmal recently announced that all South African institutions offering MBA degrees would have to reapply for accreditation so that the value of the qualification could be assessed.

But not all degrees on the Internet are total ripoffs, Reid pointed out. "Some exploit legal loopholes to grant degrees based on life experiences alone.

"A good example is the Concordia College and University, which has offices in the US Virgin Islands, Lahore in Pakistan, Alicante in Spain and in Roseau, Dominica.

"A degree from this institution can be awarded in as little as 12 hours after receiving the applicant's CV. The degree is perfectly legal, although worthless," she said.

    Am I missing something here?

There is an excellent Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston, but I never noticed a school or even a classroom during my few visits there.
