Preston Universaity expanding?

I see that Preston is advertising for new franchisees in The Economist:

• Preston University, USA seeks to expand its existing 21-country network of franchised affiliated campuses. Well-established or new institutions with excellent facilities and highly-qualified faculty are invited to contact us for further information about how to join the growing Preston University world-wide system.

 

I think this is the right time for Preston to apply for RA with NCA

 

It's interesting that franchising seems to be the latest thing among questionable "universities". A few years ago you rarely saw it, today they all seem to be doing it.

I wonder what that says about the economics of the "less than wonderful" industry.

Is it becoming less profitable to operate a single "university"? Are they feeling competition from each other? Or are they trying to slough off the possible legal exposure onto their franchisees?

 

I know that they are a state recognized school in WY. Are they completly fraudulent? Or are they a CCU situation?

 

They need to be accredited by the NCA before they have any credibility. The expansion idea won't work without proper accreditation.

 

Manjunath is right! After all, if it's a good strategy for Trinity Newburgh, why not Preston?

Universiteit Brasschaat - Eindhoven
a unrecognized dutch university proclaims they have partnership with Preston.
I called them couple of times in the worldtrade center-Eindhoven, where their headquarter is located. A spanish girl answers the phone and says
she knows nothing about BU's operation, I bet it is just a sec service or like...
