Berne "de-listed" by UNESCO/International Handbook of Universities

The message this day from Genevieve Rabreau, the person in charge of decisions on listings in the International Handbook of Universities/UNESCO in Geneva, as reported to AACRAO, is that they are "pulling Berne in the next
edition and are considering putting a warning note on their web site."

They have also rejected St. Regis despite its Liberian "approval."

It's unfortunate that the folks who publish the International Handbook of Universities/UNESCO have been "asleep at the wheel" regarding SRU and Berne.
Credible organizations like UNESCO (in Geneva) and AACRAO need to pull their pants up, set their priorities straight and black list the schools that do not comply with GAAP.
However this is good news.

As for those who have defended SRU and Berne.......let them go to their local watering hole to drown their sorrows.

 

This is wonderful news! I hope they do go with the warning on their web site, to make up for Berne's presence in the current print edition.
