    Another question........

Can an individual who earns a Degree from a CA or other state approved school that is approved to sit for the exam for licensure in that state (eg: the Bar Exam and Psych in CA) sit for the licence in that state and then transfer it to their home state or another state?

    Just curious

This varies from state to state, and from profession to profession. Reciprocity laws vary greatly. It would be difficult to make a general statement.

The law degree chapter of Bears' Guide lists the 15 states (plus DC) where people with a California non-ABA law degree may be eligible to take the bar. Rules vary considerably.
AL, AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, HI, KY, ME, NV, NM, NY, PA, TX, WI

And there still seem to be eight states where a person who studies law by apprenticeship may petition to take the bar: AK, CA, ME, NY, VT, VA, WA, WY.

The word "may" in both those sentences is crucial.

You need to investigate the laws in New York State and wherever else that you are interested in practicing.

Here's an article about a 1999 attempt to shut down the CA-approved psych schools by making their graduates ineligible to take the CA exam. I believe that it eventually resulted in a compromise where the existing psych schools may remain in operation, but no new ones will be eligible.

The story states that CA is the only state that allows graduates of non-accredited schools to become clinical psychologists, but you will probably need to verify that.

As I understand it, many states require not only regional accreditation, but also professional accreditation by the American Psychological Association. (That isn't easy to find among DL schools.)
