Perhaps 'manjuap' could tell us why he feels the Business School
    of London is a 'mill'?
A 'mill' is hardly likely to offer transport, accommodation, legal law degrees, etc., even if 'accredited' by WAUC.:)

I dont think WAUC is a legit accrediting agency approved by USDE or any Govts. That makes the universities claiming their accreditation phony.
In this case the word MILL is a subject of discussion.

    http://www.web-hed.com/wauc/universities.htm

Show me a single legit university in this list.
The list also tell that Business School of London is not yet accredited by WAUC !

    HOPE THIS HELPS !

WAUC is a private accreditation organization not listed with any government agency or the US Department of Education. WIU never makes any representation, promises or guarantees of acceptability of transfer credit to any other public or private educational institution. Students should consult the Institution he or she is interested in for their acceptance. WAUC's website is www.web-hed.com/wauc

    wow!
this is actually really a great one! i love it.
what i like most (except for the case that London offers an "cnormous range of attractions" ;) ) is the picture of the 13 Pakistani (/Indian /African) fellows they seem to just have made at the edge of Speaker´s Corner or so...
Ah - the domain itself is also very professional.
    i think i´ll apply!!!!

    :D

It looks like the School has rounded a group of pedestrians and photographed them :D

Because it is not on the list of British degree granting schools or even on the list of schools providing coursework for degree granting schools.

I don't know that it is a mill, but is it even operating legally?

Please note that there is the legitimate London Business School which is listed as a school whose students receive University of London degrees.

It is pretty obvious that this is the target market. Again, always after the poor international student.

    Interesting!

The Business School of London (very carefully worded so as not to appear as London Business School!) runs a full-time taught programme and awards degrees from The American International University of Management and Technology! Never heard of it! When I asked where this institution is located I was told....I think in California!

    FYI RE AIUMT FWIW

    AIUMT

    http://www.aiu-edu.com/

Although they only list the more prestigious WAUC accreditation, they also recently received Temporary Approval to operate as a distance education, degree-granting institution in the State of California.

This certainly does not display CA-approval in its best light. It makes me question the integrity of the whole process.

Is this school even operating in the United States, or is its Irvine address just a token presence like Wyoming's one-person offices? Apparently it's been operating somewhere for some time if the 'Australian' has written it up, yet it was only CA-approved in February 2003. So where was it previously, and what actual operations and staff has it recently moved into California? If somebody actually made a site-visit to Irvine, what precisely is located there and what academic functions does it perform?

Despite only having been approved for three months, it's already seems to be operating a franchise operation (with an extremely misleading name) in London, apparently on the basis of its California degree granting authority. Did anyone from the BPPVE visit London to inspect what's being done there?

I might be mistaken, but on the face of it this doesn't look very pretty.

This school makes PWU and CCU look like Harvard. How did they get the CA Approval? I am glad to see that Hawaii's enforcement is working.

I don't understand it at all. Schools that had existed in Calif. for years couldn't get Approval and were thrown out, and BSL shows up -BANG- they get Approved. At least the old schools offered something.

If they have any type of California approval, it is illegal for them to mention WAUC on their website or marketing materials.

That's right, David. Also, they're listing many, many more degree programs than they've been approved for. The BPPVE will inform the school.

No physical site review was done prior to Temporary Approval. However, prior to the expiration date, the BPPVE will conduct an on-site review.

The BPPVE should tell them that AIU has to provide an all-expenses-paid trip to London for a California site-inspection team, in order to check out this London business school (and coincidently to take in some shows, museums and restaurants).

That comment is only half in jest. AIU can't be operating within the scope of its approval if it transfers its approval to a foreign school, allowing that school to grant its degrees in London with California authority.

It seems that for some reason this accredited institution in Costa Rica has opted for the WAUC accreditation that it is far much worst than the one from the costa rican government.
