Being relatively new to the forum, I suspect this has been around before. If so please point me to the old posts, so I won't waste everyone's time. What is the story on International University for Graduate Studies? Mill?? For either Psy D or their doctoral program in addiction studies.
http://www.iugrad.com/index.html Business license in and claims accreditation from St. Kitts (a la Berne). Although it isn't mentioned on the school's accreditation page, it's also accredited by Maxine Asher's WAUC. http://www.web-hed.com/wauc/universities.htm It also is listed as accredited by something called the International Accreditation Sociey, though this doesn't appear on their accreditation page either: http://www.usias.org/IntAccredited.htm The school's president, Norma Ross, is some kind of psychoanalyst in Dallas Tx (not St. Kitts.): http://www.provisionsconsulting.com/norma_ross.htm Seems to have some kind of relationship to St. Augustine University for Graduate Studies, since the latter school's "accreditation" page slips up and refers to the school as the International UGS. Both websites share a lot of text in common and apparently were written by the same person: http://www.staugustineuniversity.com/accreditation.html Interestingly St. Augustine's accreditation page does refer to WAUC (although it's talking about IUGS when it does), but WAUC's websie doesn't mention St. Augustine. The St. Augustine webpage says that IUGS is accredited by something called the Global Accreditation Commission, but the only Google hit for that was St. Augustine's accreditation page. (Not very reassuring.) I'd say that it looks awfully flaky to me. My advice, for whatever it's worth, is don't waste your time. You can definitely do better than this.
