VAE degrees, operates out of St Martin. No idea who's behind it but it's certainly similar to what old Robert Sorbon used to offer.

    "Bashelor's degree", I like that.

Their 'Legal' page says: "FUA degrees are recognized as equivalent to Regionally Accredited Degrees by US Credential Evaluators."

Right, I believe that. I also believe that the Moon consists of French camambert cheese.

Once again, lots of annoying L-numbers, vague rhetoric about the 'Lisbon Convention' and mention of apostiles. I get a French feeling of deja-vu when I see it.

Of course you're right - the place is bogus. I'm pretty sure, though, the moon is Roquefort - though another authority insists that it is actually Époisses - a really stinky French variety. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89poisses_de_Bourgogne

I'm sure a "US Credential Evaluator" of a bad sort could be found, that would certify these "degrees" as RA or anything else desired. But not a REAL one - i.e. NACES member. There are a couple of evaluation mills out there that are just as much a joke as the "schools" that issue the credentials they certify.

There was a time when Sheila Danzig's credential evaluation service was reporting that the totally fake St. Regis University had full accreditation (from Liberia). I have the vague memory, but haven't tried to confirm, that Sheila's outfit was in NACES at one point. I was surprised that she wasn't caught up in the Secret Service operation that put ten St. Regis participants in prison.

I tried and was unable to find any NACES membership for her firm. But I DID find it was at one time an AACRAO member. Membership (nothing further) in this respected org. appears to have been available back then (ca. 2004) without any real screening process. AACRAO itself was, of course, qualified as a credential evaluator. Its membership at large, um...not necessarily. Vendor/members got to join for payment of $350.

So - in summary, Ms. Danzig's co. was an AACRAO member back then - but I can't find any record of NACES membership. Does that square with your recollection, Dr. Bear?

https://www.edweek.org/ew/articles/2004/05/05/34online.h23.html From this article: "CCI is not a member of NACES ." A quote from Mr. Josef Silny, who is a NACES member. He heads a credential evaluation firm of excellent repute.

Yes - Similar method to that of RDS and the other "VAE"-vendor-and-Sorbon-clone (under RDS management) claiming to operate from South Pacific - Wallis & Futuna Is. Université de Wallis, I think it was. Gone now. I dredged up the old url and went to it. No more "Université" or VAE there - now redirects to Asian porn site. Good riddance anyway.

Note. Not the same as the Swiss "Université de Wallis" (Canton of Wallis, a.k.a. Valais) - a totally different caquelon de fondue.
