When he heard the news, Alan Huff had this reaction:

    “Ohhhh, not that again.”
When your entire life is a sham and everybody knows it

Now, about this guy's supposed fake degree, either the article does a bad job of explaining it or I'm just not smart enough to understand it What, exactly, does this even mean???

he included this line on his resume: “1979. Masters of Science Department of Biology Graduate Program, University of West Florida.”

The words “Masters of Science” were underlined.

    ... [snip] ...

When he testified in court later, he dismissed the fake degree complaint by saying he should not have underlined “Masters of Science.”

    ... [snip] ...

“I didn’t put a comma in the right spot,” Gerstein said in the interview.
What in the what is what in the what of what? I don't get it. What difference does underlining and the comma make?

I think the idea is that when the original "research" was done, Gerstein had no Masters degree. He flat out lied about it. Since then he has earned both a Masters and a Doctorate, both completely legit. His lame explanation about commas and underlining are just attempts to muddy the waters. It looks like he continued to push that original research, probably for the purpose of selling those electronic devices and making a few bucks.
