From Non Profit to For Profit

I have been mad for awhile about this, but today I would like to know what others think. I searched out a non profit, at the time it was named Andrew Jackson University. I completed my studies and earned a degree only to have the school sell out to a for profit education provider. I feel as though this devalued my degree greatly. Do you think so as well? I mean it was just a small NA school but I was, and still am proud of my first degree. Now its New Charter University and has been sold multiple times. Should accreditors allow for this type of sale as it hurts the students the most.

I think actual evidence of harm matters a lot more than feelings.

Of course Steve, that's why I'm asking opinions other than my own.

When did you earn your degree? They were for profit for quite awhile before New Charter bought them.

I was trying to focus more on facts than opinions. For example, what actual harm can you demonstrate?

But if you want an opinion, I think it used to be a school no employer had ever heard of, and now it's... still a school no employer has ever heard of. So I wouldn't be too upset about it unless you've really seen some way that it's really adversely impacted your profile.
