Must University: big page one story today

The press doesn't cover fake schools nearly often enough, I think . . . but when they do, it often gets major attention. Lead page one story in this (Saturday) morning's San Francisco Chronicle, is about Must University, one of the huge Pakistani fraud, whose "campus" was a mail drop in SF. Too bad the story is behind a paywall. I'd like to read it. The page says I have to join up to see it and the "carrot" is that the first month is 99 cents. The "stick?" I didn't see the price of subsequent months.
It's not the first mention of American links to Axact in the media. In articles cited here on DI, I've read of Axact degree-buyers in Arab countries who mentioned American couriers, American credentialing documents and degrees from American sources.

At least two US-located Universities have been mentioned in these articles: University of Atlanta and California Paramount U. I hear the FBI is assisting Pakistani authorities in the investigation. I'm sure the FBI will also be investigating fully on their home turf, if they see the need. :smile:

Interesting quote from that last story:

"Towards the end, they told me that they will be transferring all my credits to the University of Atlanta. They said the university has offices in Emirates Towers’ 41st floor and they will be organising a graduation ceremony at Atlantis." (Emphasis mine - J.)

Atlantis? Brings back memories, for old-timers on the board. :smile: (If you don't get it, don't worry. Means you're not old, yet.)

I understand that authorities in Pakistan -- and probably the FBI -- now have the complete files for 65,000 people who bought these degrees in the US, Canada, and the Middle East. Can you hear the sound of heads rolling?
