    Saw this one recently.

All the head "administrators" of this "college and seminary", a collection of deans, VPs, chancellors and a director, received their "doctorates" from the very school for which they are adminstrators.

They appear to be three husband-and-wife teams.

There appear to be no "faculty" other than these three couples who apparently were granting "doctorates" to each other, at least no means of looking up other faculty names or bios or anything of the sort.

The head honcho, the "Archbishop" Lawrence Langston, received one of his "doctorates" from the Brockport School of Divinity, which turns up exactly one hit on Google. That one hit happens to be the archbishop's own bio page. His other "doctorate" is from--you guessed it--the school where he's the "chancellor".

On their application page, it lists, among other "degrees" that one can pursue, the following options: "Doctor - Life Experience" and "Master - Life Experience".

They are accredited by the Transworld Accrediting Commission, which is listed by geteducated.com as a fake accreditation agency.

They have the following rather hilariously revealing comment on their "Why TBCS" page:
"T.B.C.S. maintains a modestly small home campus. Past studies show that the maintaining of a large campus, staffing, dorms, etc., can drive up the cost of tuition by nearly 400%, while not increasing the quality of the education."

Wonder if by "home campus" if they literally mean a home, or perhaps a church, or maybe a strip mall. Which brings me to the last point...

Google mapping this place turns up a vacant lot near a strip mall where you can get tattoos or learn taekwondo.

The tattoo or taekwondo will have more utility than a degree from Tabernacle.

Their other page is interesting, too. College of the Arts - more degrees and some interesting certificates, too. There's one called "Principles of Worship Technology." Is that about communicating with the Supreme Deity via the Internet?

    New courses coming:

    Music Theory
    Piano
    Guitar
    Bass
    Vocal
    Dance
    Audio Engineering
    Church Visual

    Yep. They're covering all basses!

I'm a lightweight around here, carry no clout whatsoever and can be safely ignored. That said, I should perhaps mention that it's generally preferred that we don't quote exact URL's for low-end degree mills (or even some of the high-end ones). Reason: it improves their traffic and Google ranking -and nobody wants to do SEO for substandard schools - unless it's for a ton of money.

I believe a slightly veiled reference is OK - something like "woo-woo-tabernaclebiblecollege-dot-com" that doesn't result in a link.

    Is it a mill?

In the sense that we use mill on this forum, YES!

Sorry about the use of the exact URL, hadn't thought of that. Maybe an administrator can clean it up for me.
