    Question. . . . .

Are state approved degrees 'only valid' in their respective states?

Or does it depend on the state?

Example; California Pacific University valid only in CA ?

It depends on the other state. Some states forbid or restrict the use of unaccredited degrees from other states. But some states don't have such restrictions.

It also depends on the type of degree, and its intended use. Unaccredited professional degrees -- like a California unaccredited law degree -- may be particularly difficult to use in other states, especially if licensure is involved. A California Pacific business degree might be OK for general use in states outside California, but it probably would not be accepted as qualifying business education for CPA licensure.
