Ashford accreditation problems

I know this is from 2012 but I think it's still relevant to learn how to be careful where you get your degree from Ashford’s Accreditation Problem by Daniel Luzer | College Guide | The Washington Monthly

 

The article notes that Ashford University was denied regional accreditation from WASC in 2012 (which is when the article was originally published).

While there are reasons to be critical of Ashford, it seems only fair to point out that they eventually did get regional accreditation from WASC. Ashford re-applied with WASC after the initial rejection, and was then granted accreditation in 2013 (after the article was published).
