Not a Mill, state approved unaccredited University.

The Board of Behavioral Sciences in the State of California accepts Meridian University’s Master in Counseling Psychology (MA) degree, Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology (Ph.D) degree, and Doctor of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) degree, as meeting the educational requirements for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California. Persons interested in licensure are advised to contact the Board of Behavioral Sciences in Sacramento, California to obtain a complete listing of all requirements for licensure.

This is a CA state approved but Unaccredited University.
They applied for WASC accreditation and are listed as applicant.
Means - applied but not candidates.

I suspect that Post #1 in this thread refers to American Meridian University, a Florida-approved unaccredited school located in Miami, FL.

I suspect that Post #2 in this thread refers to Meridian University, a California-approved unaccredited school located in Petaluma, CA.

Many schools around the US (and worldwide) have similar names, which commonly leads to confusion. This is why posters in this forum are always asked to include links to the schools under discussion.

Sorry for forgetting to include the link. Yes, I was referring to the place in Miami. The fact that they adverstise "Honorary Doctorates" on their website Honarary Doctorates | American Meridian University raises a red flag. Typically a university approaches the person they are going to award, not take suggestions from email. "Florida approved" means nothing to me since it is basically involves some paperwork and paying a fee.
