    Hello,

I am looking for a decent and accredited university gives degree based on life experience. It would be better to be in UK and offers Master degree in Banking.
I need to know about the requirements and the needed courses and papers.

    Thanks

There is not such as thing but you can get a MSc mainly based on examinations and a dissertations. If you have good work experience, you can write the ACCA qualification and then transform it into a MSc degree by writing a dissertation.

    University of Paris in France.

The jury may award academic credit or a whole degree based on VAE.
VAE is an Accreditation of Experience.

ALso City and Guilds have a portfolio rout to GCGI, Graduatship.
Its equivalent to British Bachelors Degree..

Most French Universities do this; some will conduct the procedure in English. Stay away from Ecole Superieure Robert de Sorbon. (I think de Sorbon might have had a hand in writing the Wiki page on VAE -it's almost like an ad. for them, in spots.) ESRDS may have been established legally, but its degrees do not have mainstream standing -- anywhere that I know of.

Good info on VAE here (Government site).

Correction: I do not know of any legit French Universities that do the VAE procedure in English - or any language other than French. There may or may not be some - but I have no further info. If any reader finds legit French schools that will do this -- I'd appreciate knowing.

You guys are funny!

I'm not looking for VAE info for myself. My French is not so terrible -- but I'm way too dumb to get a legit VAE degree in any language!
I just want to know about any VAE possibilities in English, so I can pass the info along to anyone who needs it in future.

You know what, having mentioned it as a possibility, and thought about it a little, I think I'm going to spend a few minutes a day learning French through DuoLingo and see how it goes.

    I know, I know: :hijacked:

I wish you well, Steve. Right now, I'm working on Polish. I assembled some on-line text and audio resources, then I bought a book and 2 CD set at a College book sale for $5. All the CD files are now on my MP3 player. Best of all learning adventures are my shopping visits to Starsky's - a chain of Euro-style supermarkets. Believe it or not, we have Starsky's, Hutch's (restaurant) and John Bear Cadillac -- all in the same town.

Give me a couple of years - I might weigh 350 pounds by then, but I'll have learned Polish!

Any other areas besides Finance & Accounting?

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply!

Are you aware of something similar but for areas such as Information Systems or IT Management? (or generic MBA/Innovation/Leadership)

    Thanks!

We aim to please. For starters, Northampton University has a Master's Program in IT Service Management - with full credit for ITIL studies in this area.

    Here's ITIL - http://www.itil-officialsite.com/Qualifications/ITILQualificationScheme.aspx
Here's Northampton - IT Service Management

That took me (and Google) about 4 minutes. There seem to be quite a few of these professional institute-to-degree "bridging" opportunities in UK schools. I'm sure you can find a few more.

TEKMAN - I want to get one of those. But I want mine printed on a T-shirt. That way I can just wear the T-shirt to the interview instead of sending out copies.:sgrin:
