While I think the ILM MBA program is a great deal, I had to chuckle when I read the press release. I love how Dr. Lady mentions how cost prohibitive it would be for someone from Myanmar to purchase a textbook on Amazon and pay $200 +$85 shipping. As pointed out in the press release: "That would be 279,869 Kyats in the currency of Myanmar. That's the equivalent to 300 liters of milk, enough for a family of five there for an entire year." The tuition for the ILM MBA program is $3,000, which only comes out to $2,916,000 Kyats! Dr. Lady goes on to say "I'm just not going to ask people to decide between buying milk for their children and buying a textbook for their education." Dr. Lady continued. "That's a ridiculous choice to have to make." But you're asking them to pay nearly 3 million Kyats for an online MBA?! What's that - like 3000 liters of milk?!

Best we could do. If we could do it for free I would, wish the world worked that way.

Hey, I think you've really created an amazing bargain with the 3k ILM MBA program. Definitely something to be proud of. I realize that the Aspen MBA used to be 3k as well, but that was way back in 2007! I was just poking a little fun at your textbook/milk analogy.

On a serious note - do you have any leeway with the tuition for individuals from impoverished countries? I can't speak for other people, but if it was put to me as - pay $3,500 for an online, accredited MBA and that extra $500 helps to pay the tuition of someone in need I would be all for it. Perhaps the extra $500 could be considered a "scholarship for disadvantaged students?" Of course, the $500 is an arbitrary figure; the actual amount might be anything above and beyond the 3k base tuition.

Dr. Lady for the next Secretary of Education, or ambassador to UNESCO.
