I need a list of regionally accredited schools that are entirely online, i.e., that do not also offer courses on campus. The examples I have so far are:

    Fielding Graduate School
Saybrook University (sort of, requires residencies)
    Capella University
    Jones International University
    Northcentral University
    Charter Oak State College
    Excelsior College

I know that TESC and UMUC do not belong on the list, since they do a little bit of classroom stuff. What other examples are out there?

    Many thanks,

    -=Steve=-

I'd still add TESC, the only thing they do on the ground is a few nursing classes- not even a whole nursing program.

Go to the USDoE College Navigator site, hit "More Search Options", check the "Distance Learning Only" box under "Extended Learning Opportunities", then hit "Show Results".

Not all the schools listed will qualify for you, as some are non-RA, and others are online divisions of schools with B&M operations. But if you sift through the list, you should find some additional purely online RA schools. For example, Walden University and Trident University International are both listed.

Interestingly, Capella is not listed as a "Distance Learning Only" school by College Navigator, possibly because many of its programs require attendance at residential colloquia.

The American Public University System (i.e. American Public University / American Military University) is another RA school listed under the "All programs offered completely via Distance education" heading in College Navigator.

I haven't checked how absolutely these schools don't do anything on the ground, but don't forget

Global University, formerly Global University of the Assemblies of God.

The American College. They have some face-to-face certification courses distributed at sites throughout the country, but I think all their degree programs are online.

    With an asterisk:

You could add the residency asterisk to Fielding.

With that asterisk, you could likely add Union Institute & University, Goddard College, Vermont College of Fine Art, and Antioch University Midwest (formerly McGregor).

Pacifica Graduate Institute has notionally traditional programs, but it appears most or all of those? are based on monthly sessions; they also have "blended online" programs with in-person requirements each quarter.

National Labor College is selling their 47-acre campus, reflecting "the decline of organized labor’s finances as well as the college’s shift to mostly online courses." This is in Silver Spring, MD, near you Steve – put in an offer! If they'll let you work under their accreditation for a few years. :)

    Two with asterisks from SACS:

Amridge University, formerly Southern Christian University, and briefly Regions University, seems to offer exclusively online programs, with short residencies for Ph.D.s and D.Min.s, and master's in theology. Like Goddard, Antioch Midwest, I think The American College and possibly soon National Labor College, this one's a traditional school (I guess the most traditional on this list!) that went all-distance.

Does the Community College of the Air Force offer resident courses under its own authority anywhere, or does it only assess Air Force and other training? After first holding COE (which might have been almost RA for junior colleges in the South before it fully separated from SACS? I think that's hazy even to us) – the CCAF had its own SACS RA from 1980 until 2004, when it merged with Air University.

I believe Touro University Worldwide is online-only. However, you would have to decide whether TUW (an online graduate school based in Los Alamitos, CA) is a different institution from Touro College Los Angeles (a B&M undergraduate school based in West Hollywood, CA). The two institutions share WASC accreditation, although they seem to operate independently in other respects.

I came back later to add a link but when I looked at their site one of the first photos you see is people sitting in a classroom.
    Scratch my entry.

Concord Law School teaches entirely online.

While Concord is based in California, it holds RA with HLC/NCA as an integral part of Kaplan University, which does some B&M teaching. Concord merged into Kaplan in 2007.

Although it's part of Kaplan for regional accreditation, Concord is considered separate enough to continue to hold a DETC accreditation in its own right. The rest of Kaplan has never been DETC.
