    Hello,

I am about to study at Grand Canyon University (ACBSP accreditation) and was wondering if their ACBSP business undergraduate credits are more likely to transfer to AACSB institution?

I have already spoke to George Mason University and Arizona State University, they have said, most of the credits will transfer but I will have to do the foundation classes before getting into graduate programs. I am studying ahead of time to understand what is limited to me on which graduate programs I am able to attend.

One of the school I thought about attending after finishing my undergraduate degree was University of South Florida, however they said, they only accept AACSB accredited schools, if not I will do majority of the undergraduate classes (foundation classes) before continuing. Is there any reason behind this accreditation? I found out that not all schools are like this, although some schools are more selective than others.

I know that UT in Tampa allows MBA students to challenge out of foundation courses and they also accept CLEP to satisfy their requirements. A coworker didn't even study and never toop marketing and was able to take the school's free challenge exam and he passed.
The important thing at UT was that he had to challenge and CLEP prior to enrolling in the program. Once he started his first foundation course they said he could no longer CLEP or challenge foundation courses. I bet that was not true but its what his advisor told him.

Lerner, what school did that two people went to? I spoke to University of Maryland, and they have accepted previous graduates from GCU before. They also welcome GCU graduate students to attend to their school. I'm just wondering why some school are selective than others. I know most community college are ACBSP accredited and they have been able to transfer to top tier schools.

I also want to know if anybody had troubles getting into AACSB accredited schools as well.

Rutgers was the first to reject among others.
I got an update today after talking to one of the guys.

One was a BA Business graduate GPA 3.82 from Oakwood Univ, Huntsville AL.
The other from Dallas Baptist Univ, Dallas TX.

One was accepted in to DePaul University Illinois and very happy.
The other went in to Florida State Univ if I remember my conversion today correctly and had to retake some classes.
    I don't have details.

Some 20+ AACSB accredited schools, told them that they prefer AACSB graduates and basically didn't accept them.

Well, I guess I'm going to test my luck after I graduate then. I don't mind middle tier schools, but top tier schools will be my first option. I already have a few in my mind when I graduate and hopefully be done with my BA in 3 years. Thanks!

A few examples are not a policy, so yes transfer or graduate and then try the best schools.
As MBA graduate you will have opportunities coming to you when you are in top 20 MBA programs.

My second cousin earned his MBA from USC, in his final year in this bad economy he had 2 job offers with great employers.
His Bachelors degree was from Cal State Long Beach.

I think they got rejected by schools that also rejected some of the AACSB grads as well. Rutgers didn't accep.
