I attended Argosy University in Denver for my Doctorate. I had one class to go until ABD status but due to a critical medical matter I needed to stop where I was at and go into emergency surgery - stat.

After a four month recovery, I was given the okay from my specialist to move forward. I will continue to move forward without any issue. What does disturb me has been treatment from the financial personnel (who are no longer at Argosy after I got through with them). It was discovered my loan monies were not being used correctly. When I looked into it further, monies were disappearing from the home bank then when mentioned something about it persons played stupid so I shouted a little louder and made a lot of noise until I was listened to and something was done. My financial advisor lost her job and was fired in the end.

I discovered two things; EDMC was involved with this matter and not only were they involved with this factor, another company by the name of Goldman Sachs (yep, you heard me) was involved. It was so hot the Department of Justice got involved for a large case law suit and this is only one of many case law suits that have taken place against Argosy this far up into the executive court.

I want to know how I can get my money back from a school that has lied to me? Who do I speak with on this matter when it seems no one wishes to get involved on this matter? I was treated very unfairly and I want to know if my federal monies can be replaced because they were not used correctly by their unethical practices that were well proven by the Department of Justice.

Here is one of two articles (I have more) that focus on the activity when I was a student at Argosy:

DOJ files suit against Argosy University parent Education Management - Los Angeles Business from bizjournals

I am mentally and emotionally drained over the financial issue so if replies could be helpful not sarcastic it is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    A Lawyer.

Here is a forum Lawyers.com . They have a subsection on Education and School Law where you can get advice on how to go further. I am confident that if the attorneys on that forum think you have a case you will have no problem finding representation.

You might have a shot at a class action lawsuit.
