Ok. I won't keep tunnel vision on DETC versus RA versus BIG THREE. However, I would like to know more about testing out dantes/clep. Here is the story. I was all ready given some advice here, some great advice, and all is very much appreciated. A. Should I submit before anything all my transcripts for an evaluation as to what I have now, or just roll the dice and start dantesing around or clepping? B. Should I just look into a program and determine myself about what I need for a bachelors and just plug in the courses I can take from clep/dantes? Or should I submit transcripts first and see what path they give me? Please tell me how I should do this. Also, give me a tip to get started. SOmeone here told me to take a course, and join instantcert online or something like that.
Depends on how good a danteser you are. Start dantesing, and see if anybody cleps. If you're good, you might get a spot on "So You Think You Can Dantes!" :jester: Johann
I sent you a PM....you need to find the program you want to follow, then take the proper courses to complete that. TESC gives you everything you need to get started in three pages: Thomas Edison State College: Online, accredited degrees that can be completed entirely online CLEP - College-Level Exam Program DANTES Find a degree plan you like in the first link, match classes from links 2 and 3. If you still have missing area's find a school to take that coutse cheap like Straighterline Online College Courses - Distance Learning Courses - StraighterLine, University of Idaho Independent Study Find a Course-Independent Study in Idaho-University of Idaho, or LSU LSU Independent and Distance Learning, or any other source that's acceptable (ACE, Penn-Foster, the local CC, etc...) Excelsior and COSC have similar tools to help you plan it out. This is not rocket science/brain surgery, don't over think it. Most folks around here don't apply/register till they are nearly complete. It's NOT a roll of the dice, there are plotted and prepared paths that are tried and true. I sent you some additional links via PM.
It sounds like you have received some great information. I don't know anything about the "Big Three," but there is a website dedicated to these schools and has a lot of information regarding Clep, Dantes, etc. The website is CLEP Forum - CLEP Study - CLEP Testing - Study Guide and Strategies Good luck in your search!
