In the 2012-2013 Prospectus of Logos European College, Fife, Scotland (formerly Cornerstone College) it states "Bachelor of Arts degrees are awarded by Southern Bible Institute and Seminary, GEORGIA, USA". Another entry states "Degrees are accredited by Southern Bible Institute and Seminary, Georgia USA" and has the picture of the building at 802 Greene Street, Augusta, GA.
Logos is an extension of SBIS, Augusta, GA, so how does Southern Bible Institute and Seminary (SBIS) accredit one of its extensions. It is not that SBIS is accredited itself, because it is not. Association of Academic Accreditation is not in existence. SEE THREADs on Association of Academic Accreditation (AAA), National Accrediting Association For Christian Schools (NAACS) and National Accrediting Agency for Private Schools (NAAPS).
The public would be well served to search for this: Georgia Non-Public Postsecondary Education Commission Instructions For Applicants For Religious Exemption.
#1 states thatreligious exempt schools CANNOT use the name College or the name university as part of the school name. THE TERMS COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY ARE RESERVED FOR FULLY AUTHORIZED INSTITUTIONS. A religious exempt institution is an approved, legal institution, BUT IS NOT A "FULLY AUTHORIZED" institution. Southern Bible Institute and Seminary, Augusta, GA is not a college or university. In fact, SBIS has never filed for religious exemption and is in non-compliance status and is operating illegally. If you teach degree material in GA, you must either be religious exempt or fully authorized and SBIS is neither.
#3 If in compliance, Southern Bible Institute and Seminary CANNOT use the following terms in the names of its degrees, certificates or diplomas: ARTS, SCIENCE, PHILOSOPHY, COUNSELING, EDUCATION or any other secular term. The only exception is Education may be used if preceded by Religious, Christian, Jewish or the name of any other religios faith. THE DEGREES OF SOUTHERN BIBLE INSTITUTE AND SEMINARY HAVE ZERO ACADEMIC VALUE.
#4 A religious exempt school CANNOT OFFER ANY PROGRAM IN THE FIELD OF COUNSELING OR PSYCHOLOGY! This prohibition includes "pastoral counseling", "Biblical counseling", "Christian Counseling" OR ANY OTHER FORMS OF RELIGIOUS, PSYCHOLOGICAL, OR SECULAR COUNSELING. NO CERTIFICATE, DIPLOMA, DEGREE OR DIPLOMA MAY BE OFFERED WITH A MAJOR IN COUNSELING OR PSYCHOLOGY IN ANY FORM WITHOUT THE INSTITUTION BEING "FULLY AUTHORIZED"
Incredibly, brazenly, unashamedly and deceptively Ronald Earl Drawdy has ran SBIS knowingly as college/university and it is not. He also has refused to come into compliance and yet has dispersed "degrees" that were never degrees including Secondary Education and Organizational Leadership degrees. He also has presented Southern Bible Institute and Seminary as a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. Southern Bible Institute and Seminary is the outreach ministry of "Southern Bible Church" (1997). Southern Bible Institute and Seminary is not under the umbrella of Second Baptist Church Thomson, GA where since 1989 he "pastors". It began in 1976 and is not a corporation. Second Baptist Church, Thomson, GA is not synonymous with Southern Bible Church. Second Baptist Church Thomson, GA is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. Southern Bible Church is not. Interestingly have you noticed all the charismatic and pentecostal links he does have.
In the 2007 and 08 catalog of Southern Bible Institute and Seminary, Ron Drawdy lists Cornerstone College, Dalgety Bay Fife, Scotland in his credentials. Remember Logos European is an extension school.
Please do your homework and know that Southern Bible Institute and Seminary, Augusta, GA is not a college/university nor is it fully authorized or accredited. BA. MA. AA. Ph D. Psychology degree of an sort and Counseling of any sort from SBIS are essentially worthless. In non compliance and with no academic value whatsoever Never has been. Read the threads I mentioned earlier.

update: another site as of May 1, 2012...sbisevans.org is SBIS Evans, GA (Southern Bible Institute and Seminary, Augusta, GA). SBIS Evans, GA...This is still Southern Bible Institute and Seminary of Augusta, Ga with Jarrod Adkins, Ron Drawdy and Cliff Drawdy. Previously it was stated that the Evans extension of SBIS Augusta, GA only dispensed diplomas and its degrees came from SC. So, now the site states on 5/1/ "in the process of completing state requirements for our school". One would be well served to check with Georgia Nonpublic postsecondary Education Commission to see if that is true.

On the History of LEC page (dated 12/4/03 to Aug 18, 2007)...by 2000 the work had expanded and contacts in Eastern Europe had been made and it seemed sensible to restructure the college activities. Hence the new LEC was launched, which took over the activities of Cornerstone College, and allowed for further expansions. By 2003 we moved our US accreditation to Southern Bible Christian Accrediting Association based in Georgia USA. LEC became an affiliate of SBIS who currently issue the degrees for students completing degrees with us or our extension campuses. Both of these American organisations have close links to the Southern Baptist Convention...The Principal and dean of LEC sit on the SBIS and SBCAA Academics Standards Board. Degrees obtained through LEC have been acknowledged to be accepted into the British system of Education. Students with our degrees have been accepted into British colleges and Universitites to continue their studies. In the most recent case, the student holds a BA (Biblical Studies) and also a M.Div. both of which were obtained through study programmes with LEC. The student has now completed a Master of Education Degree and will be in post teaching in a secondary School in the new academic year 2005/2006. The degrees obtained through LEC were accepted as suitable entry qualifications to enter the Teacher Training Course to teach religious Education in Secondary Schools. As expansion and specialisation of the degree courses take place, and with the increasing number of requests from oversea students, we have newly set up a process for overseas students to apply for a student visa to attend the college. The requests from overseas students to attend LEC are welcome and this new opportunity is being actively developed.

THIS MAY SEEM OLD, BUT IN THE 2012-2013 PROSPECTUS OF LEC, IT IS EVIDENT THAT SBIS IS STILL DOING THIS CURRENTLY WITH THE CLAIM OF ACCREDITATION BEING GIVEN BY ASSOCIATION OF ACADEMIC ACCREDITATION. REMEMBER THAT SOUTHERN BIBLE INSTITUTE AND SEMINARY HAS NEVER BEEN APPROVED IN GEORGIA TO OPERATE AT ALL AND HAS NEVER HAD ANY AUTHORITY GRANTED IT BY GA TO ISSUE ANY DEGREE WHATSOEVER!
THE BUILDING ON GREENE STREET IS PORTRAYED AS A LARGE COLLEGE AND IN REALITY IT IS AN EMPTY BUILDING!

    Bulding on Greene Street

I have purchased the book you suggested and am having another eye-opening experience, especially when I apply the 'checks' as to whether or not a school is valid.
Concerning the building on Greene Street, it looks impressive on Google Maps street view. What was it previously, who owns it and what is it used for now, if anything? Is this an appropriate topic for this forum? I don't want to clutter the forum but I don't know if it would be appropriate to ask for a more direct line of communication to ask these questions.

I am following certain other threads as well at the moment, all very entertaining!!
