Association of Academic Accreditation

(The state of Florida Corporation site) you can find this "accreditation" agency. The registered agent is Empress J (Vickie) Vick. She is the wife of Harold Vick, the founder of Jacksonville Theological Seminary. Interestingly enough, then came New Beginnings Christian Academy began 4/2/07 ans she became its Principal in August. Notice that, no matter what, it is inactive. 7070 Perke Drive is the home of the Vick's and Jesse is the son and Angela is the wife of Jim Vick. Southern Bible Institute and Seminary Augusta, GA claims accreditation by this agency that is gone. On page 14 of the 2009-2010 catalog of Southern Bible Institute and Seminary, under Accreditation it reads and I quote:

"Southern Bible Institute and Seminary hold (sic) accreditation through the Association of Academic Accreditation (AAA), the National Accrediting Association for Christian Schools (NAACS), is in Candidate status with the Accrediting Commission International (ACI) and is a recognized member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)."

Just for one second, forget about the value of AAA. The last Annual Report filed in Florida by AAA was on 4/16/2007. Florida administratively dissolved AAA on 9/26/2008 and it was INACTIVE! And Southern Bible Institute and Seminary claims accreditation through AAA 2009-2010.

National Accrediting Association For Christian Schools, Inc. (NAACS) It was voluntarily dissolved by R. Clifton Drawdy, Jr himself on 10/10/2007. On page 6 of Southern Bible Institute and Seminary's 2009-2010 catalog, do you know who is "Vice-President for Academic Affairs"? None other, than the same "R. Clifton Drawdy, Jr". Did he forget he dissolved NAACS, just forget to tell his brother or did they hope no one would figure it out~ no clue...

ACSI is a service provider. It does not accredit/recognize postsecondary schools. SBIS pays a membership fee and the information they have on the school is what the member school provides.

I do not even need to address ACI. I will say Terry Stair, a facilitator of Jacksonville Theological Seminary stated that it is accredited with ACI.

Logos European College, Fife Scotland 2012 catalog page 2, and I quote:
"Logos European College became an affilliate of Southern Bible Institute and Seminary who currently issue the degrees for students completing Degress with us through the Association of Academic Accreditation." 2012 catalog...AAA dissolved in 2008.

 

Homegrown entities such as these are thorns in the flesh of legitimate higher education.
