I was looking at american university online not the one in DC and see they have interesting experience programs. They are accredited by the Education Accreditation Council of America (EACOA) Has anyone heard about this university or this accreditation agency.

They are not recognized by the DoE or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Can you provide a line to "american university online"?

I do not see anything to indicate that this is a credible accreditor.

That's normally my approach also, and I've discovered from this that sometimes an unaccredited school is simply too new for accreditation.

In this case, however, there's a reference to a bogus accreditor. That makes things easy: not legit, game over, thanks for playing.

Yep I think you are correct sir. I hate to start making harsh comments till I (or other members) have had a chance to sit down and look a bit.
