"PLEASANTON -- A Pleasanton university that catered to mostly online students is being called a sham by federal prosecutors who say the university was a front to illegally provide immigration status to foreign nationals.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Wednesday were at the Tri-Valley University campus on Boulder Court in Pleasanton and executed search warrants at three other properties owned by school founder Susan Su, including one in the gated Ruby Hill community.

The complaint, filed by the U.S. District Attorney's Office on Wednesday, claims Su was part of an elaborate scheme to defraud, using false statements and misrepresentations to the Department of Homeland Security."

The owner has a thick accent, and she is a President, Dean, owner, or whatever. Another one is busted!!!!!!!

"Tri-Valley University is accredited by International Association of Bible Colleges and Seminaries (IABCS). Some individual academic programs also apply for specific accreditation, such as the J. D. program is seeking provisional accreditation status with American Bar Association (ABA); Pharm. D. program plans to seek Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accreditation. Tri-Valley University is licensed to operate in Pleasanton, California. According to State of California Education Code with the Bureau for Private Post-Secondary and Vocation Education, California has state religious exemption provision. Tri-Valley University is also authorized by the Federal Government to admit international students and issuing I20 for F-1 Visa."

Concord Law School is regional accredited, but has no opportunity to be accredited by ABA. What makes this bogus school has a chance to receive ABA accreditation? lol

Unfortunately the article doesn't clarify that IABCS is not one of the USDE/CHEA approved US Christian accreditors. (Those would be ATS, ABHE, and TRACS.) I clicked on several of the schools listed on the IABCS website's member list, and some of them did not list IABCS on their "accreditation" pages (like Vision International University which lists pretty much everything except IABCS) and other websites on the list are domain-placeholder pages. Also, note that Tri-Valley University is not on the IABCS member list ... so either the IABCS website is incorrect or Tri-Valley are not even really a member of this marginal/unapproved accreditation agency!
