Over the course of the past several years the North Carolina university system has stepped up and become one of the largest providers of distance learning degree and cert programs. Of course, not all degrees are offered by their flagship university but there's no reason to believe that these offerings are anything other than quality programs. Which one(s) did you have in mind?

There is no institution specifically named North Carolina University, nor is there a University of East Carolina from your previous post. There is an East Carolina University and The Univeristy of North Carolina. UNC Online is a site where you can search and find online degree programs from any of the 16-member university system. I do not know what kind of feedback you are looking for, but the UNC system is one of the finest educational systems in the world. UNC-CHapel Hill is the oldest public institution in the nation and highly ranked in all areas, and several others are excellent as well. Any of the online programs will come from an internationally recognized system, and would be recognized anywhere. I hope this is helpful.

I heard Erskine Bowles, when he was president of the UNC system, say that "within five years, we will have at least one section of every course in the system available online."

That was almost five years ago. Tick-tock, time is running out. I live in North Carolina, but I'm enrolling in a program through the University of Illinois because the courses I need aren't offered online by any university in North Carolina. They aren't offered in the evenings, either. The only way to get a degree in Math, or Statistics, in NC is to quit your day job so you can take classes during the day.

The online bachelor programs are heavily oriented to Education, Business Administration, and IT. Which is the same as everyone else's online programs, apparently.
