University of Wales Under Ministerial Scrutiny

    The University of Wales' validation and franchising process is under scrutiny from the UK Education Minister following a BBC documentary. Details here:

    The UoW seems to have something of an unfortunate predilection for affiliating itself to some rather questionable institutions. To validate one less-than-sterling program could be considered a misfortune; to validate a whole bunch of them seems very much like carelessness.

    Perhaps some heads will roll in this but ultimately it's a good thing that Wales is going to get clean.

    Agree .

    I remember reading over the years all kind of questionable affiliations.
    Some here and on other forums criticized or questioned these type of affiliations.
