Cleveland Institute of Technology - deceptive name mill? Cleveland Institute of Technology This one is seems like a mill to me. No contact information? Then there is one that looks suspect university but I can't find anything about their accreditation. Also another school University of Cleveland. About UCleveland - myCampus No contact information? No edu domain etc.
Mill........ Looks like they are trying to copy the DETC school CIT. Online Distance Learning or Education - Cleveland Institute of Electronics
Seems they are the same mill with different names. Look at the Staff & Faculty for both - they are the same people!!!!
"Very interesting...but Shtupid!" (Arte Johnson, "Laugh-in") Hi Lerner Good one, indeed! I couldn't find accreditation for U. Cleveland either. The Cleveland Institute of Technology has TWO bogus accreditors - one of which I've seen all over the "milliverse" for a long time - UCOEA, often (but not here) partnered with its sister-disease, BOUA. U Cleveland pretends to have a B&M campus in that Ohio city and has a "Life in Cleveland" section, listing all local attractions ---with the exception of Drew Carey and the Warsaw Tavern. It also claims to be partnered with at least three schools in India and invites donations towards sustaining partnerships. Tuition is a whopping $835 a credit! That's got to be almost a record for a mill! They also have a blurb about FAFSA and Pell Grants -- I find it impossible to believe they're on the Federal Aid list! Strangest of all -- the president is said to be Prof. Stuart Hilwig. I googled and instantly found a LEGIT namesake - Prof. Stuart J. Hilwig, currently teaching at Adams State (A well-known RA school.) He is obviously NOT the "Stuart Hilwig" listed as President on these two bogus sites. Among other things, the credentials don't match. The genuine Prof. Hilwig (Stuart J.) earned degrees at Vanderbilt and Ohio State. I think the "Cleveland Felons" as I will henceforward refer to them, picked a bunch of legit names from the internet and grossly misused them - all crimes likely committed from overseas and cyberspace. Nasty stuff indeed - and very, very poorly engineered by crooks of a decidedly sub-normal mindset. Johann

"Village of the Guru..." Hi Thanks for the "whois," B4cz28. Guess I was right. The fraud emanates from India - from Gurgaon, originally meaning (some say) "village of the guru." Didn't take much of a guru to come up with this particular "Cleveland" nonsense.... Gurgaon (a satellite of Delhi) is said to be the "call centre capital of India." No doubt we've ALL heard from Gurgaon lately! (I know Bell Canada has exported call-centre jobs to India. I got one of those calls recently!) With bogus schools like these two, who knows - Gurgaon might become the FRAUD capital of India! Johann
Just for show... Hi Yes, indeed, it's crazy-expensive, but I doubt that anyone pays to take courses. The tuition is just for show -unless a much-dumber-than-dumb "mark" appears. Likely, most "grads" pay a few hundred dollars for an instant "life experience" degree. Pay this kind of tuition? People who buy paper from degree mills are stupid...but rarely THAT stupid! Johann
I think your correct. This is a show pony for the school, they must have a website selling degrees in another place.
