LU just announced that the law program received full ABA accreditation.

    they announced this as well..

"This fall, the law school and Liberty University will announce a dual degree program, allowing law students to obtain a master’s degree along with their law degree in less time when combined together. These degrees include the JD/M.B.A., JD/M.Div., JD/M.A.R., JD/M.Ed., JD/Ed.S., JD/Ed.D., and JD/M.A. in Human Services."

I thought that law degrees normally aren't fully online except for Concorde? Does that mean that LU will be pushing out online law degrees soon?

I do not expect to see that happen.

I view this announcement as an added bonus for the in-residence students.

I'm sure it’s in house. I think this just adds more credibility to the school.

"Now that the law school is fully approved, it will move forward to plans to launch degrees in addition to the JD. Some of the degrees in planning include various specialties in law (LL.M.), a master’s in Public Policy, and a Ph.D. in law. When implemented, the non-JD degrees will be offered both residential and online."

Some of the degrees in planning? They are certainly ambitious. I hope they succeed in their academic endeavors.

Of course not. Liberty is a full blown B&M school that also does distance learning courses. Their law school of course doesn't have a distance learning branch but has been provisionally accredited since I believe 2004 or 2006. They have a top level debate team there that wins a lot of competitions as well.

When I decide to go to law school, they will be one of my top choices.
