EIPS - Eisner Institute for Professinal Studies
Anybody has any information about EIPS? It seems relatively new (2007 an on) but is mentioned as an "MFT approved school" on the Board of Behavioral Sciences website. Its' CEO is also a Psychologist /Attorney (licensed), which I can't find too much information about, but his law business has the same address as the school, so it sort of makes me a bit worried about their stability long term. It is BPPVE approved so I can't say anything there, but other than that not much is known. Much posts made by the school's marketing efforts announcing this and that programs' roll out, and I found one or 2 more links where someone mentioned being a mentor at EIPS and one individual from Canada with Ministry/Theology related degrees stating on his blog that he is enrolled in Psy.D. in Holistic Psychology there, but that's about it. It's been on the market only 3 years and I can't find any information about whether they've had any graduates yet or how many students they currently have enrolled, drop out rate or anyone even mentioning anything about it that can be useful in understanding if this is a viable option or if maybe it's a contraption that may go belly up at any point. Anyone has any idea about this school? I'd appreciate any input. | | | | | Argosy University | Argosy University

Psychologists study mental processes and human behavior by observing, interpreting, and recording how people and animals relate to one another and the environment. To do this, psychologists often look for patterns that will help them understand and predict behavior using scientific methods, principles, or procedures to test their ideas. Through such research studies, psychologists have learned much that can help increase understanding between individuals, groups, organizations, institutions, nations, and cultures. •Job opportunities are naturally best for individuals with higher degrees. Individuals with a doctoral degree are highly sought after, especially ones who holds degrees in a particularly in-demand subfield, such as health; those with a master’s degree will have good prospects in the corporate environment; bachelor’s degree holders will have limited prospects due to steep competition. •Employment growth will vary by specialty; for example, clinical, counseling, and school psychologists will have 11% growth; industrial-organizational psychologists will have 26% growth; and 14% growth is expected for all other fields of psychology. | | | | | | -
Eisner Institute for Professional Studies
This is my first time visiting the forum and was surprised to read a post on the Eisner Institute. I am enrolling in the PSYD Forensic Psychology program this summer (2010). I feel that this is the best program for me, since the dean of the school is also a psychologist and attorney. After speaking with the admission's department, I found the information extremely credible. I also went to their website and read testimonials from current and former students as well as the frequently asked questions and also checked out their faculty. Yes, the school is only 3 years old....but every school needs to start somewhere. | | | | | Psychology Degrees | Psychology Degrees
