No good news here that I can find.

    Hi

I'm not against all unaccredited schools. I can name some I think are pretty good - but not this one.

The "news" seems to be that there is no news. No recognized accreditation= no news.

As you can read in this link, Adam Smith has been called "a degree mill with a long and unattractive history." I don't know the school well, but I can tell you for sure it has no US-recognized accreditation.

If you use the search facility, you will find it has appeared on "fake-lists" in this forum. Some will dispute whether it once had - or did not have - legit Liberian accreditation - but it appears to have none today. The Liberian branch is not conferring degrees at present - per its own site.

As for the French uh--campus, the "école universitaire" approach is usually a back-door way to get a foothold in France sufficient for "legal" registration of a school. (Can't call it a University!) "Legal" seems to mean they can open up shop and print papers they call degrees without going to a French jail.

(For an example, see the endless discussions on Robert de Sorbon in all the fora.)

I have, of course, no idea :) whether or not Adam Smith follows the well-trod path, but the usual M.O. for these relatively new "associations" or "écoles" is to print and mail out experience-based VAE degrees to those who can pay for them. VAE is a valid way to earn a credential from a LEGIT French institution - university, college or trade regulator. In contrast, a VAE diploma-by-mail from a back-door mail-order-school is worthless...

I don't know where an Adam Smith degree would be considered a legit/worthwhile credential. Does anyone else know?

the website looks pretty outdatesd why would anyone consider it as a viable institution?

maybe in 1995 it would be in line with other sites..
